Who should be Newcastle United manager: Steve Bruce or Graeme Jones?

At the minute it’s the former, but according to the Daily Mail, some players wish it was the latter.

On Wednesday night a report was released detailing a furious bust-up between Matt Ritchie and Bruce.

The player was livid about what the manager had said after the Wolves game, blaming him for not passing over instructions which led to the equaliser.

The report states that Ritchie called Bruce a ‘coward’, and that a lot of the players sided with the 31-year-old.

Ritchie isn’t the only person to be blamed. Bruce also took aim at Martin Dubravka and Jamal Lewis, while the report claims he pointed the finger at Jones as well.

Anyone but you, Steve, anyone but you…

And according to the Daily Mail, there are some players who want Bruce gone. They want Jones to take over, as they see him as the club’s best chance of survival.

That’s no surprise, considering the state the team were in before his appointment. It’s no coincidence that a change in style and results coincided with the new coach’s arrival.

Is he the man to replace Bruce? He can’t be any worse. And a lot of fans are keen to see the change happen sooner rather than later.
