Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a tweet from potential takeover figure Mehrdad Ghodoussi, after the European Super League fizzled out.
Last night saw all the English clubs pull out of the proposed league after a huge backlash.
Manchester City and Chelsea were the first to go, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Liverpool all following suit.

Today, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and AC Milan have also left.
The whole episode has demonstrated that no force is stronger than that of football fans when they come together to fight for one cause.
Nothing is more important than the fans, and Ghodoussi alluded to that in a message he posted to his followers on Twitter today.
He wrote: “A huge lesson learnt over the last 48hrs. Its a tough job owning a club, no doubt about it, mistakes will be made.
“Run your clubs well, make money, increase the value of your investment, but never forget what it’s really all about. #PremierLeague”
Ghodoussi also attached a snippet from the book ‘Newcastle: My Kind of Toon’ by Sir Bobby Robson.
On social media, Newcastle supporters lapped up the tweet from Ghodoussi, who has twice tried to buy a stake in the Magpies along with wife Amanda Staveley (via Chronicle):
