Newcastle United fans have been reacting to an update from Aston Villa manager Dean Smith that Jack Grealish will be unavailable for tomorrow night’s game.
The club’s captain has missed the past few games with a shin injury and fans had been hoping for his return at St. James’ Park.
But Grealish will miss the game not because of his original problem – he’s actually been ill this week.

Smith said in his press conference (via Birmingham Mail): “Jack’s been making really good progress but, unfortunately, he won’t make Newcastle.
“He has been ill this week so he’s been off for a couple of days as well, but we’re hopeful for the Tottenham game now, that’s for sure.”
It’s a blow for Villa, who have just faltered a little in recent weeks, winning just one of their last five.
Grealish’s absence was always likely to sting for the Villans.

The England international has been one of the standout players in the Premier League so far this season.
Him being out of tomorrow night’s game would theoretically be good news for Newcastle, but some Magpies fans still really don’t see it that way:
