If you believe Don Balon, Newcastle want to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos for £20million.
The report is pretty dubious, as it even suggested that the Magpies also want to sign Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez. That’s ludicrous for multiple reasons.
But regardless of the reliability of the source, Newcastle fans have started to discuss the possibility of the Colombian forward wearing black and white.
Morelos had an interesting season at Ibrox. Sure, he was red hot in front of goal, but he spent a lot of the time suspended. It’s fair to say the striker has got a temper that can get the better of him…
But as a pure goalscorer, Morelos has had an excellent year. He ended the campaign with 18 league goals to win him the Scottish Premiership golden boot. Imagine if he hadn’t been suspended as much!
