West Brom are eyeing a move for Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll and Magpies supporters have been reacting to the reports.

The experienced talisman scored his first goal since returning for a second spell at the club in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

It’s perhaps no surprise that Carroll has struggled with injuries since returning to St James’ Park.

He headed back to the North East in August 2019 after leaving West Ham United.

Since checking back in he has played in 34 matches and has just a solitary goal to his name.

Now, Sam Allardyce is keen to reunite with the target man as he bids to keep West Brom in the Premier League.

Carroll is 32-years-old and earning £75,000-a-week is one of the club’s top-earning players.

With that in mind, it’s perhaps easy to see why some supporters would like to see ‘Big Sam’ pounce to sign his former player.

Get him gone….

Other supporters are more inclined to prefer Newcastle not to sell their player to a potential rival for relegation.

Some feel that he has been badly underused and that his goal might be the start of a revival under Steve Bruce.

With that in mind, there is a division with some fans hoping that he sticks around at St James’ Park.

Keep him around…
