Graeme Jones is currently leading the team, and has managed two games so far.

He got a draw against Crystal Palace last weekend, and yesterday oversaw a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Last night the Mirror brought an update on ten Hag, who is in the frame to succeed Bruce at St. James’ Park.

They claim that the Ajax boss is ‘reluctant’ to manage Newcastle, as he is not encouraged the club’s current predicament in the Premier League.

Newcastle are 19th at the moment, are yet to win and have conceded 23 goals. It is a huge task for whoever comes in.

He will take some convincing according to the report, but perhaps Newcastle’s new financial might will help lure him.

ten Hag currently earns £2 million-a-year and Newcastle would supposedly be able to offer five times that amount.
