Some Newcastle fans have been reacting to a claim that Isaac Hayden will be out for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
The midfielder was the victim of an extremely unfortunate incident during last night’s defeat involving Yves Bissouma.
The Seagulls star fell into the 25-year-old following a 50-50 challenge with Jonjo Shelvey, leaving him in agony.

Replays showed Bissouma fell into the side of Hayden’s leg, and the player received lengthy treatment before being stretchered off.
After the game, Steve Bruce stated that the signs ‘didn’t look too good’, and now, the Northern Echo have reported that Hayden’s season could well be over.
It is another big blow for Newcastle in their mission to stay in the Premier League.

The Magpies have had to contend without Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron in the last few weeks, although the Paraguayan did return to the starting XI last night.
Hayden will be a major miss for the Magpies.
News of how long he will actually be out for should arrive in the next 24 hours or so, but fans are already panicking about the club’s fate following the initial reports about Hayden:
