England boss Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Newcastle assistant coach Graeme Jones will be part of the coaching staff at Euro 2020.
The 51-year-old former Luton Town manager has been at St James’ Park since January, where he has helped Newcastle to a 12th-placed finish.
Jones also has tournament football with an international team on his CV. He was on Roberto Martinez’s backroom team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The arrangement with England is only on a temporary basis. Jones will return to Newcastle ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Newcastle member of staff will link up with Southgate on Saturday and will remain part of the England ranks for the duration of the tournament.
Jones will be the only Newcastle employee with the Three Lions party this summer. The England boss hasn’t named any Newcastle players in his 33-man provisional squad.
Following Jones being selected as one of Southgate’s coaches, supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
Here is what they had to say about the decision made by the England boss.
