Newcastle United Football Club have announced the appointment of Eddie Howe as the club’s new head coach.
As per the club’s official Twitter account, the ex-Bournemouth boss has been chosen as the man to replace Steve Bruce.
Howe has been out of work since leaving the Cherries at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
The 43-year-old spent 12 years at Bournemouth in total. He took the club from the depths of despair in League Two to the Premier League where he managed to keep them up.

In between his spell at the Vitality Stadium was a short tenure at Burnley where he struggled to make an impact.
His immediate remit at St James’ Park is clear and he must help the club climb away from the threat of relegation.
During his time at Bournemouth, Howe had a win ratio of 40% and he arrives at Newcastle following a hiatus from football.
In the summer, Howe very nearly took over at Celtic but the Hoops refused to meet his demands with regards to his backroom team.
The new head coach will be joined by Jason Tindall who was Howe’s long-serving assistant at Bournemouth.
Howe’s first game in charge will come against Brentford after the international break.
