Many Newcastle United fans got the news they have long been waiting for this morning, as Steve Bruce departed the club.
The Magpies’ new owners have finally taken the decision to remove the 60-year-old, who was seemingly ready to go as well, with the official communication being ‘mutual consent’.
The search is on for a new man, and while that’s happening Graeme Jones will lead the team.
Many names have been mentioned in the press since the takeover went through.
One of the current favourites for the job is Paulo Fonseca, with talks expected this week according to Sky Sports.
Fonseca is known for playing attacking football, and it seems lots of Toon fans are excited by the idea of him leading the revolution.

It is very interesting to think which current Newcastle players could now get a new lease of life in a post-Bruce world.
On social media today, some fans have been talking about Fabian Schar, who has made just two Premier League appearances so far this season.
The Switzerland international hasn’t played since the draw against Southampton back in August.
Schar was brilliant for Newcastle in his first season after signing from Deportivo La Coruna.
But he has struggled with injuries during his time at the club, and also Covid last season.

He is someone that, really, should be starting week in, week out for Newcastle. He has shown previously how good he can be.
Newcastle fans think Fonseca would love ball-player Schar
Some Toon fans reckon any appointment of Fonseca may prompt a renaissance for Schar:
