Newcastle United are on the brink of another signing with Allan Saint-Maximin set to be the next player through the door.
The Frenchman sounds like a player who is going to both frustrate and excite fans, so prepare for a wild ride. And he’s not shy of a fashion statement either.
Saint-Maximin always seems to play with a headband to keep his hair out of his eyes. And it’s not just any headband he wears, it’s a Gucci one.
But will we see the Gucci accessory flying down the wing at St James’ Park? Or will the 22-year-old be forced to don something from Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct shop instead?
The arrival of Saint-Maximin has got fans talking about the previous Frenchman to don the black and white stripes, particularly Hatem Ben Arfa and Florian Thauvin. The latter arrived in 2015 under Steve McClaren’s tenure, but flopped massively.
The winger didn’t really get much of a chance, and a fashion disaster got fans on his back when he comically turned up to a game wearing a tuxedo rather than a normal suit. Hopefully Saint-Maximin’s headband isn’t talked about in the same light in years to come.
Newcastle fans can’t wait to see more of Saint-Maximin and his Gucci headband
@NUFC will you be selling Gucci headbands in the club shop before the arsenal game?

I can confirm what the hold up with the Saint-Maximin deal was. NUFC wanted him to upgrade his Gucci headband to a Sports Direct one. Negotiations continue #NUFC
