Some eagle-eyed Newcastle United fans have noticed an apparent high-profile omission from the latest training pictures released by the club.
The players have been going through the motions ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield.
Newcastle are in a much healthier position than a couple of weeks ago, and victory over the Reds will surely all but secure Premier League football for another season.
But the team will need to be on it against the reigning champions, who are unbeaten in their last four in the league.
But one wonders if Newcastle will have Callum Wilson for the game.
The club released 64 new pictures onto the official website of today’s training session and mysteriously, the English striker does not appear in a single shot.
Wilson, of course, has only just returned to action having missed several weeks with a hamstring injury.
Hopefully there is a good reason for him not appearing in the pictures.
