Newcastle United have confirmed that their upcoming games against Brighton and Arsenal have been rearranged for TV.

The Magpies will now face Brighton at 5.30pm on November 6th, with the game live on Sky Sports.

At the end of the month (November 27th), Newcastle will travel to the Emirates. But that game will now kick off at 12.30pm to be broadcast on BT Sport.

The game against Brighton is particularly excruciating. It’s one of our longest away trips of the season, and Sky Sports have decided to broadcast it in the Saturday evening slot.

Fans will really struggle to get home, with the game likely not finishing until around 7.30pm. Newcastle supporters won’t be able to get a late train, meaning they will likely have to fork out for a hotel that night.

Yet again, it’s another example of the broadcasters having no consideration for fans. Brighton away has been put on TV time and time again – always at a ridiculous time. Why is it being broadcast in the first place? It’s hardly a glamour fixture.

Last season, all the broadcasters spoke about was how missed fans were. It hasn’t taken long for them to be completely shafted once again.

Some Newcastle fans aren’t happy, and rightly so.
