FA Cup fever is taking over Newcastle United.

For the first time since 2006, the Magpies have reached the sixth round. Newcastle beat West Brom 3-2 in typical Newcastle fashion, clinging on despite leading 3-0 until the 74th minute.

They made it through though, and attention turns to the quarter final.

But who do Toon fans want to face?

Newcastle join Arsenal, Chelsea and Sheffield United in the next round, with the other ties set to take place tonight and Thursday.

And assuming the favourites all win, it will be a star-studded quarter-final. No matter who Newcastle get, it’ll likely be a team placed higher than them in the Premier League.

But that’s the nature of the beast when you reach the latter stages of a competition like the FA Cup.

Fans aren’t too concerned about who we get in the next round, as long as we’re playing at St James’ Park.

With a raucous home crowd behind them, Newcastle have a chance of beating anyone on their day.

Our fate will be revealed tonight. The draw will take place following the conclusion of Sheffield Wednesday vs Manchester City.

Fingers crossed we get a home tie…
