According to a clip from FIFA 22, Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is the fastest man on the planet.

The new game is set to be released on October 1st, but some players have got the game ahead of time thanks to EA’s Early Access.

In the clip (see below), Miguel Almiron has just netted the winner in a penalty shootout for the Magpies.

All of the players and staff are going wild, including Bruce. Incredibly, the Toon manager sprints across the pitch in celebration, with pace that even Usain Bolt would envy.

It’s an astonishing sight, considering that Bruce is 60-years-old. Then again, this is FIFA, not reality.

The fact Newcastle won a penalty shootout as well is surprising. The Magpies actually lost one this season, with Almiron failing from 12 yards.

But the Paraguayan has clearly put things right in the virtual world of FIFA 22.

The Magpies’ player ratings for the game were recently revealed, with Martin Dubravka top of the pile with an 81. Elsewhere, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson are both rated at 79.

Regardless, no one is as quick as Bruce, who has probably never ran that fast in his life, even when he was a player for Manchester United.

The clip will be doing the rounds for a while, with supporters in total shock at what they’ve seen.
