According to the Mirror, Everton boss Rafa Benitez may try to sign Newcastle talisman Allan Saint-Maximin for £50million this summer.
That’s if Richarlison leave Goodison Park, with rumours the Brazilian forward could reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
If he does, the Mirror believe Benitez wants to replace him with Saint-Maximin.
This is the first Toon player the Spaniard has been linked with since becoming Everton manager. However, it’s a player who he never worked with at St James’ Park.

Saint-Maximin arrived at the club not long after Benitez’s departure, and has been one of the few reasons to get excited over the past two years.
But could his time at Newcastle come to an end this summer?
Allan Saint-Maximin to Everton would be heartbreaking for Toon fans
Saint-Maximin is Newcastle’s most valuable asset. When it comes to natural ability, he is our best player by a long way. He can do unthinkable things with a ball at his feet.
That’s why the Magpies value him so highly. Fees of £60million and £70million have been touted by the media this summer.
But no matter what the fee would be, losing Saint-Maximin would be a disaster. We must do everything we can to keep him.
The Frenchman has made it clear that the club need to be more ambitious. They need to sign top players like Joe Willock.

But will Newcastle United listen to Saint-Maximin? That might depend on the ownership.
Mike Ashley wants rid of the club. If Newcastle are going to become more ambitious, they’ll need to get new owners first.
A move to Everton would be tough to stomach for Toon fans, as they’ve already seen one hero head to Goodison Park recently.
Benitez broke Newcastle hearts when he signed a three-year deal to become Toffees manager.
Saint-Maximin is certainly good enough for Everton. He could probably play for an even better club.
But when you compare Newcastle and Everton, it is clear which club is the more ambitious out of the two. Everton are the team who want to climb the table and break into the top six.

They haven’t done it yet, but you can’t say they’re not trying.
That’s the kind of ambition Saint-Maximin wants from Newcastle. And can you blame him?
Saint-Maximin is immensely talented. He shouldn’t be involved in relegation scraps – he should be fighting for trophies.
If the 24-year-old left Newcastle it would be a disaster. But seeing him play for Rafa Benitez would be unbearable.
