Matt Targett could be treated to a big night on the town if he helps keep Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old joined the Magpies on transfer deadline day, securing a loan deal until the end of the season from Aston Villa.
Newcastle had been looking for a left-back all month, and finally landed one on the final day of the window.
He was one of three defensive recruits to arrive in January, as Eddie Howe looks to improve his back four. We’ve been shocking at the back this season, recording just two clean sheets so far.

Pressure will be on Targett to perform, but an offer he’s received from a reality TV star might give him further encouragement at St James’ Park.
Geordie Shore star makes ‘night out’ offer to Matt Targett
Following the arrival of Targett, a series of old tweets from the left-back have circulated on social media.
Almost a decade ago, back when Targett was just getting started in professional football, he spent his spare time watching MTV show Geordie Shore. The program saw the likes of Gary Beadle, more commonly known as Gaz, become overnight celebrities.
The show was set in Newcastle, and followed a group of North East party-goers who basically got paid to go out and get drunk.

Apparently that appealed to Targett, who tweeted about the show on multiple occasions back in the day.
Now those tweets have resurfaced, and star of the show Gaz, who is an NUFC fan, has sent Targett a message.
He wrote on Twitter: “Save us from relegation and we will have a night out for old times sake.”
If that doesn’t inspire Targett to help keep us up, nothing will!
While the defender might be excited about the possibility of a night out with the Geordie Shore crew, his main priority will be a potential debut against Everton on Tuesday.
If that goes well, it could really kick our survival mission into gear.
