Newcastle United may have a new celebrity fan in Rafa Nadal thanks to Miguel Almiron.
The Paraguayan is yet to return to the North East from international duty, having played at this summer’s Copa America.
Despite not jetting back to Tyneside, Almiron has still been working hard ahead of the new Premier League season.

The 27-year-old has been posting pictures of him training on his official Instagram account, and he’s even received some new gear from the club.
Almiron has been wearing the new Castore training kit as he prepares for the new season, and he’s been working out at a very interesting venue.

The midfielder has been enjoying some warm weather training in Spain.
Almiron has been at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca which is, unsurprisingly, owned by the Tennis megastar.
Nadal is a great of the game, winning 20 Grand Slams.

The 35-year-old is also a football fan, known to be a supporter of Real Madrid.
But now he has a couple of new shirts to add to his collection.
On his official Instagram account, Almiron has posted a series of pictures with Nadal.
The Newcastle star can be seen giving Nadal a Paraguay shirt, and last year’s Newcastle away jersey.
Will we ever see Nadal don it during a game at St James’ Park? Don’t hold your breath.
Although if he waits long enough he might be able to get himself a free season ticket like 10,000 people did in 2019.
