Lewis Miley’s potential seemingly knows no bounds as he looks to claim a regular starting berth at Newcastle United.
Miley was a standout for Newcastle United in their recent 4-1 win over Everton and became the second-youngest Toon player to score and assist in the same Premier League game, behind Charles N’Zogbia.

Injuries have derailed his progress since the Newcastle United academy graduate initially broke into the team during the 2023-24 campaign, but his outing against Everton was certainly a sign of promise.
Newcastle are very excited about Miley’s potential and former Toon midfielder Darren Ambrose believes the 19-year-old is an England international in waiting.

Darren Ambrose backs Lewis Miley to break into the England squad
Ambrose was speaking on talkSPORT on YouTube.
He talked of Miley’s brilliant performance for Newcastle against Everton and predicted he could soon become a feature of the Three Lions squad under Thomas Tuchel.
Miley is already an England U21 international and already boasts five caps at that age level.
“Every time I watch him, I think he’s fantastic,” he said.
“He’s a future England player, for sure. Definitely a future England international.
“Maybe the summer [the 2026 World Cup] has come a bit too early but I think for him, in the next few years, he’s breaking into that England team.
“He just looks so calm, comfortable and composed on the ball. He’s got that tenacity as well that I really like.”

Should Miley, at some point under his stewardship, become a full England international, it would be the seventh time Howe has worked such magic.
