Lewis Hall now shares what he’s looking forward to most at Newcastle

Newcastle United have confirmed their fourth senior signing of the summer with Lewis Hall joining on loan from Chelsea.

Lewis Hall, a boyhood Newcastle fan has signed for the Magpies on a season-long loan which contains an obligation to buy if certain criteria is met. It’s a deal that could be worth up to £35million.

Newcastle fans are extremely excited by Hall after seeing what he could do in his few Chelsea outings last season. The fact that he and his entire family are Newcastle fans certainly helps with the excitement.

Hall joins a group of Newcastle fans in the first team

Hall now joins Dan Burn, Jacob Murphy and Sean Longstaff as proud Newcastle fans who represent the first team.

In his first interview with NUFC TV, Hall has shared what he’s looking forward to at Newcastle, saying: “I think it’s really important as a young player all you want to do is play games and learn from the best.

“Being young you know you’re not going to be involved in every single game because it’s a lot to ask for. Whenever you’re called upon you know you’re going to give your best and there’s people who are a lot more experienced and have played a lot more senior football and they’re people I can learn from. I’m looking forward to that.”

The 18-year-old has one of the best full-backs in the game to learn from in Kieran Trippier as well as Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes to teach him the ways of the midfielder given that’s his personal preferred position.

Hall could make an appearance at St James’ Park on Sunday

It will probably be too soon for Hall to make his debut on Sunday against Liverpool, although with it being a home game, Eddie Howe might give him a cameo in front of the St James’ Park crowd if the game allows for it.

Now the question is, where does Hall fit in the list of left-backs, has he leapfrogged Matt Targett and even Dan Burn, or will Burn still be the preferred starter? Does it also mean that Targett could be on his way out of the club?

I’m sure we’ll find out in good time, but for now, I can’t wait to see Lewis Hall in action in black and white.
