Lewis Hall extended his brilliant run of form during Newcastle United’s 4-0 win over Leicester City.

Creating chances and scoring goals has been an issue for Newcastle United this season but that certainly wasn’t the case on Saturday afternoon.

Newcastle United swept Leicester City aside with a dominant display at St James’ Park with Jacob Murphy scoring twice with Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak also on the scoresheet.

But while Saturday’s scorers will hog the headlines, there were some exceptional performances further back with Newcastle fans raving about Lewis Hall’s display.

After a slow start on Tyneside, Hall is now reaching superstar status at Newcastle and is one of the first names on Eddie Howe’s teamsheet.

Lewis Hall stars for Newcastle vs Leicester

At just 20 years old, Lewis Hall is becoming a key figure in Howe’s side.

There was a few concerns about Hall’s defending after his arrival at Newcastle, but he is showing huge signs of progress on that front.

His attacking qualities were never in doubt, however, and he put on a masterclass against Leicester on Saturday.

Hall took 112 touches of the ball – the most of any player on the pitch. He also made five key passes for his side and registered one assist.

After watching his younger brother’s brilliant performance against Leicester, Connor took to social media and couldn’t resist a tongue-in-cheek dig.
