If Newcastle are to get anything against Liverpool, they will need Allan Saint-Maximin on top form.
The Frenchman has been sensational since returning, playing an important role in Newcastle’s resurgence.
He was involved in the equaliser against Tottenham, then he came off the bench against Burnley to save the day with an assist and a stunning solo goal.
Last week against West Ham he returned to the starting XI, and was the best player on the pitch in the first half.

He constantly drove at the West Ham defence, and yet again his attacking intent provided a goal.
While he wasn’t credited with the opener, it was his lethal run and shot that led to Issa Diop scoring an own goal.
Saint-Maximin limped off with an ankle problem against West Ham, but Steve Bruce has confirmed that he is fit for the trip to Anfield.
Ahead of the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had some kind words to say about Newcastle’s talisman.
“Mr Saint-Maximin is a proper footballer, he was injured and that was a blow but along with Joelinton they play really well together,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

Kind words indeed from a world class manager.
As always, Newcastle players and fans will be looking towards Saint-Maximin for inspiration against the champions.
He has shown his value in recent weeks, with goals and assists proving he isn’t just a show pony.
And the comment from Klopp shows that other managers are taking note.
The German will no doubt have a plan to stop the mercurial Frenchman. But that has never stopped Saint-Maximin before.
