Newcastle’s misfit centre-forward, Joselu, looks set to end his nightmare stint on Tyneside with a move back to Spain with La Liga side Alaves.
Reports in Spain claim “it is a matter of time” until the 29-year-old joins the Basque club.

Many interpreted his comments as confirmation that the takeover talk sweeping the region is genuine.

His impending departure, however, along with no permanent deal in place for current player of the season, Salomon Rondon, means Newcastle would currently have no senior centre-forward on their books.
With still no sign of an end to the Rafa Benitez saga, it remains how long it will be until any signings are brought in. But with Newcastle already appearing to fall behind their rivals in the transfer market, it is a worrying sign for Magpies fans.
