Willock, 21, is now set to go back to his parent club Arsenal, and lots of discussions will now undoubtedly take place.

It is no secret that the Magpies want to land him as one of their own.

His form since his arrival has been nothing short of remarkable.

Willock has seemed very happy donning the black and white shirt in recent weeks, and has always spoken positively.

He was again asked about what the future holds for him after the 2-0 win over Fulham, and he said (Chronicle): “We’ll see what the future holds.

“I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to play for this wonderful club and I’m happy it’s gone so well.”

Newcastle must make game-changing signing

He’s going to be expensive, but Newcastle simply have to bring Willock back to St. James’ Park next season.

His stunning goal today against Fulham is just further suggestion of what a brilliant talent he is.

He brings qualities no other player currently does in Newcastle’s squad.

He’s already idolised at the club and it’s on Newcastle to do everything they can to facilitate a move.
