Ivan Toney has sent a message of good luck to Newcastle United, after the star scored against his old club yesterday.
The striker was, of course, on target during the 3-3 draw with Brentford at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle went in search of their first win of the season, but had to settle for a point in the end, with new manager Eddie Howe watching from his hotel after a positive Covid test.
Jamaal Lascelles opened the scoring for Newcastle, but the Magpies were pegged back by goals from Toney and Rico Henry.
Joelinton equalised before Lascelles scored an own goal in the second-half.
Allan Saint-Maximin then scored for the first time in six games.

It was perhaps inevitable that Toney would score on his return to St. James’ Park.
The star has developed massively since leaving the club in 2018.
To date, he has plundered 37 goals in 65 games for Brentford. And he got 49 in 94 for Peterborough.
After the game, he took to social media to post a message.
He wrote: “Special moment today to return to where it all really started and see some old faces, even better to score but 3 points would of made it sweeter. But together we go again, thanks to all the travelling fans.
“Wishing @NUFC all the best for the rest of the season.”
Toney goal against Newcastle was always coming
It was no surprise to see Toney getting joy against Newcastle’s leaky defence yesterday.
It really is so poor, and Toney has obviously been in fine goalscoring form over the past couple of years.

And he looks right at home in the Premier League, and so a goal for him yesterday was always going to be fairly likely.
It is nice to see him wishing his former club well, although him kissing the Brentford badge during his celebration will have been a frustrating sight for many.
