Newcastle United face PSG tonight in what is a massive UEFA Champions League fixture for both clubs, with Luis Enrique keen to make history this season.
The French giants are yet to win Europe’s biggest prize despite pumping billions into the squad and playing host to some of the best players to ever grace a football pitch this century.
With Newcastle plagued by injuries, there’s every chance that PSG can get a comfortable win this evening in Paris, yet Enrique knows that the Toon won’t be taken for granted.

And speaking to the press via The Athletic and Reuters, the PSG manager highlighted how good Newcastle’s fitness numbers are, even with Newcastle’s treatment room being filled.
Enrique said: “Their fitness numbers are incredible,” with the former FC Barcelona man adding: “They’re very strong physically, they’re able to press hard and very high, there’s a lot of intensity.
“If you saw their last game against Chelsea, the physical date is still at that level. We know that will be the case again tomorrow, we will have to be ready.”
Newcastle will want to cause an upset against PSG and Luis Enrique

With Enrique aware of Newcastle’s impressive running numbers on the pitch, tonight might not be as easy a game as some PSG fans might expect from the Magpies.
Whilst a number of key players are now out through injury, the Toon have shown that they have the quality to beat anyone on their day, with Chelsea falling victim to Newcastle’s resilience on Saturday.
Indeed, whoever wins tonight will have an incredible chance of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League, something Newcastle will be desperate to achieve.
And PSG know that they have to be on their guard with the Magpies, who earlier this season have already humbled the French giants in one of the games of the campaign.
