Bruno Guimaraes says he is sure about where Eddie Howe will end up after he leaves Newcastle United on day.
There’s no pressure to sack Howe any time soon or for him to walk away, but when the day comes that he does leave it will be a big question as to where he ends up next after great success at Newcastle.
In an interview on That’s Football, Guimaraes admitted how much he admired Howe and claimed that one day he thinks he will be the next England manager.
Bruno says ‘fantastic’ Howe saved Newcastle
Bruno was one of Howe’s first signings back in January 2022 and the pair have been huge turning points in Newcastle’s future at a time when the club looked destined for relegation.
Now, two years later and they are a Champions League level club who are fighting to stay in Europe for a second successive season, largely thanks to both Howe and Bruno.
When speaking about the Newcastle boss, Bruno just couldn’t find enough words to describe how good Howe had been since coming in and all that he does for the players even outside of football.
From the outside looking in it does seem like the 46-year-old is not only a great coach on the pitch but also a brilliant man-manager who has got the entire dressing room all pulling in the same direction despite the latest run of poor results.
In the interview, Bruno said: “He’s fantastic, not just as a manager but as a person as well. He always asks us about our personal lives, he’s tried to help us a lot.
“He’s unbelievable, I think he’s put the club as high as possible. When he signed we were in a bad situation, if you look where we are now it’s because of him. And I’m sure one day he’ll be the England manager.”

Bruno thinks Howe will manage England one day
No Newcastle fan will want to see the back of Howe any time soon given how successful he’s been in such a short space of time, turning the club around completely.
But it’s inevitable that he will one day leave, whether it’s his own decision or forced upon him, and it will be interesting to see what jobs are on offer to him having raised his game to become one of the Premier League’s best.
Many have suggested he could be the next manager of the Three Lions once Gareth Southgate leaves, including Bruno.
While that may not appeal to him right now as a young coach who likes to be in constant contact with his players, there’s certainly a future where he is in the national team hot seat, and he could almost definitely get a good tune out of this golden generation.
