Alan Pardew’s time as Newcastle manager was mixed to say the least.
It was a rocky start after replacing the popular Chris Hughton, but he would go on to finish 5th in his first full season in charge.
Pardew guided us to the Europa League quarter finals, and also managed to earn himself an incredible eight-year contract.
His time at St James’ Park also included multiple protests against his management, as well as headbutting David Meyler.

Pardew left the club in January 2015, and his career has been strange ever since.
A bright start at Crystal Palace ended in the sack, while his spell with West Brom was shambolic.
In 2019 he took his talents abroad to manage Den Haag and managed to keep them in the Eredivisie. Although that was only because the global pandemic halted football in the Netherlands.
Nowadays he’s in Bulgaria as technical director for CSKA Sofia. But it seems as though he’s keen to return to management in England.
Could Pardew be heading to League One?
According to TalkSPORT presenter Alex Crook on Twitter, Pardew has registered his interest in the Portsmouth job.
The League One side are on the lookout for a new boss, having sacked Kenny Jackett on Sunday.
Despite being one of the favourites for promotion, Pompey are down in 10th, three points off the playoffs.
Crook claims that former Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson is also keen, while Portsmouth News state they have approached Danny Cowley.
But could Alan Pardew be the next Portsmouth boss? It would be a surprise return to England if he was appointed.

Pardew previously managed Portsmouth’s rivals Southampton, which was actually the last time he was in the third tier of English football.
A move to Portsmouth would see him come up against Newcastle’s biggest rivals Sunderland. Interestingly, Pardew was the last Newcastle boss to beat the Black Cats.
Is a return to English football on the horizon for Alan Pardew? Only time will tell.
Perhaps Mike Ashley could get him to take Steve Bruce’s place if we lose to Brighton on Saturday…
