Eddie Howe has teased that Lewis Miley could feature tonight for Newcastle United in their UEFA Champions League clash against PSG.

The 17-year-old midfielder has caused all sorts of waves in the Premier League in recent weeks, with Howe lauding Miley as a player with a ‘brilliant’ footballing brain after his performance against Chelsea.

And now, speaking to the club’s official Twitter account, Howe has hinted that the England youth international could be back involved with Newcastle’s senior team tonight in Paris.

Miley is on course to become a superstar for Newcastle based on early signs in the league, and a breakout display in Europe could now be on the cards for the teenage midfielder.

Howe said when asked about Miley featuring tonight: “There is every chance he will be involved. I think he is ready. He has a great temperament for these occasions.

“The thing I loved about him after the game on Saturday, it was just another game for him, that is how he will need to approach this one.”

At 17, the world is at Miley’s feet having now broken through at one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League this season.

And heading into tonight’s European encounter, Miley could relish in the thought of lining up against the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and fellow midfield wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery.

Indeed, as stated by Howe, Miley looks like a player who takes the right approach to top-flight games as seen by his performance against the Blues on Saturday.

And tonight could be the true making of the teenage prospect, with Newcastle in need of a big result if they’re to progress out of their Champions League group.
