Howe’s side were stung by late winners by Chelsea and Everton. And last weekend, they were put to the sword in the end by Tottenham Hotspur.

There needs to be a big response, with Newcastle now just seven points above the relegation zone after Burnley beat Everton.

Howe has been speaking to the media ahead of the game.

At one point talk turned to midfielder Bruno, who is yet to start a game at St. James’ Park since his January move from Lyon.

He has certainly wowed every time he takes to the pitch, and many fans have already been clamouring to see him starting against a very good side.

Speaking about the Brazilian this morning, Howe said: “He’s someone I’ve really enjoyed working with. He’s very much a winner and has a great attitude to his training.

“With his flamboyance and technique comes a steeliness which is hugely important in his position, so we’ll see what happens tomorrow.”

Bruno Guimaraes needed against Wolves

Bruno has been a breath of fresh air since coming in for Newcastle.

It’s clear that this is a player of huge quality and potential, and he simply has to start tomorrow night.

Wolves are having a fantastic season, and although they will be missing Ruben Neves, their midfield is still strong with Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker.

If Newcastle are to win that midfield battle, Howe needs Bruno in there from the get-go.

Newcastle were absolutely awful in that second-half against Spurs. But Bruno still impressed when he came on.

Joe Willock is a doubt for tomorrow night’s game, so there’s a very good chance he’ll come in.
