When Martin Dubravka arrived at Newcastle in January, nobody knew what to expect.
After one game though, it was clear the Magpies had unearthed an absolute gem.
Dubravka kept a clean sheet on his Newcastle debut against Manchester United, and then went on to play a key role in our surge up the table.
The Slovakian would become Rafa Benitez’s first signing of the summer, making his loan deal permanent for around £4million.

When you consider the price of goalkeepers nowadays, this was an absolute bargain. Dubravka has already proved this season that he isn’t just a flash in the pan, and it appears as though he’s more than just a safe pair of hands.

Dubravka influential off the pitch too?
On Wednesday night, the whole team went for a meal with Rafa and the club’s owner Mike Ashley. It was an Italians and I’m sure it was all very lovely.
But before the meeting of the manager and the owner, the players themselves had a meeting to discuss the club’s struggles.

Despite only costing £4million, it appears as though Newcastle have signed the complete package. Not only is Dubravka proving to be influential on the pitch, but off it too.
Considering I can hear Dubravka bellowing out orders on the pitch up in Level 7, it’s no surprise that he’s starting to bellow the orders off the pitch as well.
