David Seaman has given his honest prediction for Newcastle’s upcoming Premier League clash against Bournemouth this weekend.

Newcastle are coming off the back of a disappointing and tiring defeat away to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday and will be looking to get back on track with a comfortable win over the Cherries.

David Seaman, however, has predicted that it won’t be as straightforward as some may think for this depleted Newcastle squad.

The Magpies were without 12 players when they took on the Bundesliga side in midweek and will have to add Bruno Guimaraes to that list on Saturday who is ruled out with a suspension.

David Seaman predicts Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Newcastle won their last league game 1-0 against Arsenal, a key victory in their push for European qualification, but it is their away form that has been off as late.

With two points from their last two away games against West Ham and Wolves who are both occupying the bottom half of the table, a win would give the team a big confidence boost and put them in a strong position heading into the international break.

Seaman predicted the game on his podcast Seaman Says. He said: “Do you know what I’m going to go? I’m going to go 2-2.”

Considering that the last two away games have both been 2-2, it’s not a wild prediction to suggest and Bournemouth will be desperate to put some more points on the board.

Injuries have hit the Toon hard

Newcastle will have to travel down to the south coast without some key figures in the team. The likes of Alexander Isak, Sven Botman and Dan Burn all remain out.

As previously mention, Bruno Guimaraes is also added to that list, so Eddie Howe may have to rely on 17-year-old Lewis Miley in this game after his cameo appearance against Dortmund.

Fortunately for Howe, this will be the last game before the international break, although he is losing a few of his stars to their national sides. Bruno and Joelinton will travel to South America to play two huge games against Argentina and Colombia while Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson have been included in the latest England squad.

Howe will be hoping that in that time he can get at least a couple of his men back from injury before heading into a hectic winter schedule.
