Newcastle United won again yesterday – and Dan Burn has been pictured at a pub in Newcastle with some Brighton fans.

The Magpies made it eight games unbeaten, winning 2-1 over the Seagulls at St. James’ Park.

Eddie Howe’s side struck against the run of play through Ryan Fraser.

The Scotland international was on hand to follow up after Jacob Murphy’s effort had come back on the post.

Newcastle then struck again just moments later to stun the visitors.

Fabian Schar rose to head home Fraser’s free-kick.

Brighton hit back in the second-half through Lewis Dunk, but Newcastle were able to hold out for all three points.

The club are now up to 28 points and are seven clear of the relegation zone.

It has been a remarkable turnaround, with Howe getting a tune out of practically every player.

Yesterday was another colossal display from Burn at the back. The January signing was just solid against his former club, winning 4/6 duels and making six clearances, two blocks and four interceptions (Sofascore).

He has undoubtedly made significant contributions to Newcastle’s recent renaissance.

The £13 million spent on him in undoubtedly looking like amazing business at this point.

Burn is already a firm favourite with supporters. He’s also still quite popular with fans on his old club as last night, he was with a handful of Seagulls fans in a pub in Newcastle.

Twitter user and Brighton fan @Charlie_Gresty wrote on Twitter that Burn had popped into a Brewdog pub that they were at in Newcastle. He said that Burn was ‘the nicest guy ever’.

He added: “Post photo he chatted to us for longer than he needed to. Said he was sad to leave us but the situation was right for everyone. Later we tried to buy him a drink but he politely said no. What a guy.”

Dan Burn’s start to life back at Newcastle couldn’t have gone much better

Another game, another tremendous performance at the back from Burn.

Newcastle spent a lot of January really clamouring to get new centre-backs in. The chases of Sven Botman and Diego Carlos were well documented.

The club ended up bringing Burn back to the club after releasing him as a youngster.

Some were nervous about just the one centre-back coming in but so far, the situation could not have worked out much better.

Burn has been a breath of fresh air, and is definitely already a hugely popular figure at the club.
