Clinton Morrison has told Sky Sports of his bemusement that Newcastle United haven’t yet appointed a manager.
Steve Bruce was sacked a fortnight ago following a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham.
Since then the Magpies have drawn at Crystal Palace and been hammered at home by Chelsea.

After yesterday’s defeat to Thomas Tuchel’s team, Morrison spoke of bemusement that the club hasn’t yet gone to town to appoint a manager.
He told Sky Sports: “I don’t know why it’s taken this long to go and appoint a manager.
“I have seen they have been linked to Favre, Fonseca, to all these kinds of managers. John Terry, whom I’ve seen today has been thrown into the mix.
“All these managers, how come they haven’t brought anyone in yet? They have all these people that have come to this club, what you have to realise is that Newcastle are in a relegation battle. I don’t care. They can’t sign anyone until January. It’s going to be a struggle.”
Morrison is right and Newcastle must act fast
It’s pretty embarrassing that Newcastle have yet to win a game this season. They were dumped out of the League Cup by Burnley so haven’t actually tasted a win of any sort since last season.
That is a horrendous run of form and Newcastle can blame Bruce no more. Someone at the club has to act and they have to do it quickly.

It’s fine being linked with the big names as Newcastle have been but it’s time to appoint one and let him get to work.
The Magpies are three points adrift of safety and only Norwich sit below them in the Premier League table.
Newcastle are sleepwalking their way to relegation and a new manager is now required as a matter of urgency.
