Newcastle United have today discovered their fixture pattern for the 2021/22 season.

The Magpies are ready to start their fourth successive campaign in the Premier League.

The club will be hoping to build on its 12th placed finish last time out.

Despite the feelings of the majority, it will be Steve Bruce that leads the team into the new season.

Standing in the way of three points on the opening day will be West Ham United, as was the case last season.

The Magpies ran out 2-0 winners last time, but August’s opener will this time take place at St. James’ Park.

 

Callum Wilson got on the scoresheet against the Irons that day.

That’s something the 28-year-old tends to do most times he comes up against them.

The star has played 10 games against West Ham in his career to date, and scored eight times.

They are easily the goalscorer’s favourite opponents.
