Callum Wilson is a professional footballer who used to play for Newcastle United.

Newcastle United moved to sign Callum Wilson from relegated Bournemouth in 2020, before they were blessed with new riches from the PIF takeover.

Despite Bournemouth’s relegation under one Eddie Howe, Wilson had proven himself a reliable Premier League striker and he made an instant impact at Newcastle.

Wilson scored on his league debut for the club against West Ham United on the opening day of the season and scored 12 goals in his first year.

Injuries would limit him to just eight goals in 2021-22 but he bounced back in style the following season to bag 18 in 31 league games as Newcastle qualified for the Champions League.

Another 10 goals would follow in the next campaign but injuries have now begun to take their toll and Wilson scored just once in 2024-25. Wilson’s release was confirmed in July 2025.
