Bruno Guimaraes has returned to Newcastle United for pre-season but not before he left Brazil he did an in-depth interview with a Brazilian outlet.

If you ever want to “bump into” Newcastle United‘s Bruno Guimaraes when you’re out in Newcastle he’s now shared with Ge Globo where you can find him. Maybe not his wisest move since he joined the club.

The charismatic Brazilian has amassed a legion of fans in Newcastle, and in fact all over the country as even fans of other Premier League sides have stated that they’d love to see him play for them.

Bruno Guimaraes has admitted that he finds winter a challenge

After moving from Brazil to Lyon and then to Newcastle, Bruno has had one big issue to battle with – the cold.

The interviewer asked Bruno, “You are from Rio de Janeiro and live in one of the coldest cities in England. How was this adaptation?”

“Honestly, winter is tough,” Bruno replied. “You wake up, go take off the blanket and it’s already damn cold. Even with a heater, we think: “What am I doing here?”. But the effort is worth it, everyone’s welcome. I feel great, but winter is complicated.”

Bruno has found a little piece of home in Newcastle

However, Bruno did say he doesn’t feel alone in Newcastle and has found a spot that feels like home.

“Thank God, there’s a Brazilian steakhouse,” said Bruno “Which is my second home, and it’s called Rio. Whenever the games end, if you want to find me, just go there. Despite being a small town, there are Brazilians.”

I’m sure Newcastle fans won’t take that as an invitation to raid Rio after every game, but at least it’s good to know that aside from his family and Joelinton, Bruno has found a little piece of home in the city.
