Bruno Guimaraes now sends message to Newcastle fans after draw vs Bournemouth

Bruno Guimaraes has sent a message to Newcastle United fans after they were able to rescue a last-minute point against Bournemouth on Saturday.

It took a last-gasp equaliser from Matt Ritchie of all people to deny Bournemouth from leaving St James’ Park with all three points, though Newcastle were still very frustrtaed.

After the game, Bruno took to Instagram to post a message to the supporters after what was another spirited comeback to steal a point at home following the 4-4 draw against Luton two weeks ago.

Bruno says Newcastle didn’t do enough vs Bournemouth

Newcastle were once again held to a draw at home after struggling to really get a hold of this game and it is now over two months since the last victory at St James’ Park which will be a real concern for Eddie Howe.

Bruno himself was once again one of Newcastle’s best players as he looked calm and collected on the ball and helped to drag the team up the pitch, but it was a disappointing day all round for the team.

The Brazilian was left frustrated by the result which has put another dent in their Champions League hopes as they now sit 12 points below Aston Villa in fourth.

It’s certainly a positive that the team have it in them to comeback from deficits so often and shows a determined attitude, but the players will know they shouldn’t have gotten into that position in the first place.

On Instagram, Bruno posted: “Thank you for your support! We show reaction but not enough to have the 3 points! Let’s go to the next one.”

Newcastle have to sort out their home form

In a quite ironic twist in their season, it’s now Newcastle’s home form that is causing them problems after having been one of the worst away teams in the Premier League this season.

Up until their big win against Aston Villa, only Sheffield United had picked up fewer points away from home that Newcastle, but now that’s turned on its head as the Magpies have won four on the bounce away from St James’ Park.

If they are to have any chance of competing for a top four or top five spot this season then they cannot afford to drop many more points at home especially in games they are almost expected to do well in.
