Bradley Dack very nearly ended Newcastle’s FA Cup hopes this year.
The Blackburn star scored the opening goal of the game on Saturday, heading home a neatly worked free kick. It was no less than what Dack deserved, having performed brilliantly at St James’ Park.
If there was one man that deserved to be on the winning side, it was him. And the 25-year-old’s performance should make Newcastle think about lining up a bid.

Dack is Premier League quality
The former Bradford man is performing brilliantly in the Championship, which is why he’s been linked with a move to the likes of Tottenham.
While playing for Spurs might be a stretch, Dack proved on Saturday that he could be a Premier League player. Against a makeshift back four, Dack proved that he has the technical craft to hold his own up against alleged Premier League quality.

He was a constant nuisance, and proved he had the confidence to try and make things happen for his team. This is exactly what Newcastle are lacking.

Ayoze Perez is often on the edge of games, going to ground and flapping his arms when things don’t go his way. As for Dack, he was willing to get on the ball and try to drag his team to a result.
Newcastle desperately need reinforcements in January, and signing a player of Dack’s ability would give Rafa Benitez a huge boost.
Then again, the last attacker we signed from the Championship didn’t really work out, as seen by Jacob Murphy’s FA Cup showing.
