It has been confirmed that Elias Sorensen is back at Newcastle.
The striker went out on loan to League One side Blackpool in January, and it looked like a great chance for him to get some first-team experience.

The youngster was electric in front of goal earlier in the season for the Newcastle Under-23s team, resulting in a lot of fans asking for Rafa Benitez to give him a chance in the senior side.
That didn’t happen, and at the time it seemed like a loan was a better option for Sorensen. However, his time at Bloomfield Road was a nightmare.

The Danish striker made just one appearance for Blackpool, enjoying 32 minutes of action for the club. With minutes limited, he is now back on Tyneside, with Jamie Sterry and Cal Roberts also being recalled from Crewe and Colchester respectively.
The trio will now return to Ben Dawson’s Under-23 squad.
Newcastle supporters are disappointed that the loan move didn’t work out for Sorensen, and so are the Blackpool fans.

Blackpool fans react to Sorensen departure
There were reports that injury would see Sorensen get a chance at Blackpool, but just hours later it was confirmed that he was heading home.
Sorensen’s move to Blackpool has turned out to be a disaster and is exactly why Newcastle are reportedly keen to hire a loan manager.
