Chile and Barcelona legend Arturo Vidal has had his say on Newcastle United’s game with AC Milan in their Champions League return and it’s safe to say he wasn’t impressed.
Arturo Vidal, still playing at 36 already has a side hussle going on for when he retires as a Twitch streamer.
It seems like the midfielder has settled right into life on the internet with his overblown, angry hyperbole when discussing the game between AC Milan and Newcastle on Tuesday night.
Arturo Vidal didn’t hold back when discussing Milan v Newcastle
Vidal labeled it as the worst game in the history of the Champions League. I mean, save some rage for the rest of us, Arturo.
In a rant on his Twitch channel (via Red Gol), Vidal said: “I saw the worst game in the history of the Champions League. Milan and Newcastle, how they play that match in the Champions League, crazy.”

“But those fools from Milan with Newcastle made me sick. They are lucky because they only know how to run, otherwise they wouldn’t be there.
“I don’t understand Newcastle, they come fourth in the league, but they don’t do anything, disgusting.
“They have to risk their lives, if it is their first game, show a little more, they left me as angry as hell. This is the Champions League.”
As a former Inter player it makes sense why he’d maybe take a poor view of AC Milan in order to keep his fanbase happy, but why the drive-by?
It wasn’t great, sure, but the worst game in CL history?
Okay, so Newcastle were far from their best on Tuesday but it was our first Champions League game in 20 years and five players in the starting lineup were making their debut in the competition.

If you look at it through that lens, it was an admirable performance. Not easy on the eye, and definitely not inspiring from an attacking sense, but the worst game he’s ever seen in the Champions League? Harsh. Very harsh.
Funny though, I’ll give him that.
