Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon does not look the part once again as he arrives for England duty.
The 23-year-old has been named in Lee Carsley’s England squad for Nations League games against Greece and Finland, and will hope to be just as influential as he was during the previous international break.
Gordon impressed Carsley with his performances, as the Newcastle United winger aims to make himself a regular starter for the Three Lions on the back of an extremely disappointing Euros.
Anthony Gordon filmed arriving for England duty
After that penalty miss against Everton at Goodison Park, Gordon has reported for England duty.
He can be seen arriving at St George’s Park on England’s official YouTube channel, and the winger has once again turned up in rather comical and embarrassing fashion.
During the last England camp, Gordon turned up with a bin bag, bemoaning the fact that Newcastle United do not have any club bags to put his boots in. In comparison, Phil Foden has his boots in a Manchester City plastic bag, while Trent Alexander-Arnold’s are in one with a Liverpool badge on it.

That theme has continued, with Gordon once again arriving to represent his country with what effectively looks like a bag of rubbish.
“We need some club bags, honestly, I’m sick of bringing them in,” he said.
“Turning up with a bin bag. It can’t be my thing!”
Nick Pope does not follow Anthony Gordon’s lead this time
During the previous England camp, Nick Pope also turned up with a bin bag. However, he has not made that mistake after the ’embarrassment’ back in September.
Following his arrival, someone remarked that Pope was travelling light.
“No bin bag either,” he said in response.
“The embarrassment! The embarrassment and shame!”
Gordon in good spirits after Newcastle United disaster
The Newcastle United duo’s arrival for the England camp comes just days after they were involved in a 0-0 draw away to Everton.
Gordon and Pope both played a key role in the result, but for different reasons. The former missed a decisive first half penalty, and squandered another brilliant chance to score against his former club.
As for Pope, he made an incredible save to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the first half as he continues to enjoy a bright start to the campaign.
Despite his recent form, it feels unlikely that Pope will play for England during the international break. He will likely play second fiddle to Jordan Pickford, who will be full of confidence after that penalty save on Saturday evening.
While Saturday will have been tough for Gordon, he looked in high spirits as he arrived to represent his country. He will no doubt be keen to do well in an England shirt once again, and appears to be re-finding his best form after a slow start to the season in black and white.
