Alan Shearer has sent a message to Newcastle United fans ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.
The Magpies are looking to cause an upset at St. James’ Park, and face a Red Devils said who haven’t played for a couple of weeks.
Ralf Rangnick’s team have had some Covid cases, which saw them unable to play against Brentford and Brighton.
But tonight’s game goes ahead, and it’s another huge one for Newcastle, who obviously really need points on the board.
Eddie Howe has overseen just one win so far since taking as manager.
He has had some hard fixtures and some bad luck with decisions along the way.
But hopefully tonight the Newcastle players are bang up for the final home game of 2021.
Alan Shearer has sent a message to supporters ahead of the game.
He wrote on social media: “HWTL @NUFC. Looking forward to a packed St James Park tonight. Commmeeeeeeoonnnn lads give us something to shout about.”

Hopefully all the players see this message from club legend Shearer and it pumps them up.
While Newcastle have been stung by some dodgy decisions in recent games, ultimately the players have not given enough.
As Shearer says, they need to fight relentlessly. They need to give the crowd something.
The fans have been absolutely brilliant despite such a bad start to the 2021/22.
It is about time the players repaid that unwavering support, and what better way to do that than putting in a special performance against Manchester United in the last home game of the year.
