Newcastle United are back in the Champions League.
That is quite the sentence, isn’t it?
While the ball would just not go in the back of the net for Newcastle during Monday’s draw with Leicester, it mattered little.
A point means Liverpool officially cannot catch them and they can play their final game of what has been a stunning campaign away at Chelsea relatively free of any pressure, instead looking forward to the Champions League.
Unsurprisingly, Alan Shearer was delighted with the result.

So relentless – particularly at home – all year, it’s not difficult to imagine some of the continent’s elite struggling on Tyneside.
