Newcastle United are back in Premier League action today for the first time since the takeover went through.
The Magpies are taking on Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park in a 4.30pm kick-off.
The game marks the beginning of a new era, although that new era will kick off with Steve Bruce as manager.
It had been expected the 60-year-old would have been sacked by now.
But he will oversee today’s game, which is his 1000th as a manager.
Meanwhile, the new owners are on the hunt for a new man to lead the revolution.
Some supporters have been expressing their disappointment about Bruce being in the dugout today.
But the reality is the takeover happened very quickly in the end, and the new owners are clearly taking their time to make sure they make the right appointment.
One or two are feeling a little irked about the situation, but the general feeling appears to be one of excitement.
Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter this morning to give a very simple instruction to the Toon faithful.
He wrote: “Enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy the day Toon Army HWTL.”

Bruce still being in the dugout today should not put a dampener on things.
The reality is he will not be the manager for much longer.
Whatever happens in today’s game, Newcastle fans should savour the occasion.
The atmosphere should be electric, and change is on the horizon.
