Sometimes words aren’t required to send the Newcastle United fans into a frenzy and Fabrizio Romano has just done that with a wordless post on X.
After months of speculation and weeks since it was announced he’d accepted, Bruno Guimaraes has now signed a new deal at Newcastle United according to Fabrizio Romano.
While not confirmed by the club as I started writing, the wordless post on X by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has been deemed enough for fans to start celebrating. In the time it took me to finish this article, the club have made it official with a post on the official site.
Words: Not required
The post consisted of a writing emoji then a black and a white spot and a Brazil flag and the NUFC hashtag, it was also a repost of Romano’s post from last month detailing that Bruno Guimaraes had agreed terms.
It’s the news that Newcastle fans have been waiting for over week since Romano said the terms had been agreed.

There’s still concern amongst some fans that the deal includes a release clause, but it really shouldn’t be anything to worry about.
Bruno Guimaraes’ goal celebration at Bramall Lane said it all
You just have to look at his celebration after scoring against Sheffield United to understand why that clause is no cause for concern. The passion in which he kissed the badge and the way he declared that he’s staying – spine tinglingly beautiful.

Bruno Guimaraes came to Newcastle to play in the Champions League, he bought into the PIF‘s vision before he signed off on the £40million transfer and now, years ahead of schedule, he’s realising that dream. Why would he walk away from it now?
Bruno is a Geordie, his son Mateo is a Geordie and there’s another Geordie on the way. When Bruno does leave, and he will, that’s a reality we all need to prepare for, I genuinely believe he will be leaving Newcastle with a much fuller trophy cabinet than when he arrived.
