Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Daily Mail revealed that Huddersfield are in talks over a move for Rolando Aarons, with just hours until Friday’s 5pm deadline.

The Magpies are keen to get a fee for the attacker, as he’ll be out of contract at the end of the season.

The Terriers are close to selling Karlan Grant to West Brom for £15 million according to the report, and it’s evident that the Championship club are also keen to add a player to their ranks as well as letting one go.

Aarons was among a list of players who The Northern Echo revealed Steve Bruce wanted out of St James’ Park, along with Henri Saivet, Achraf Lazaar, Dan Barlaser, Jacob Murphy, Yoshinori Muto and DeAndre Yedlin.

Sadly for the 24-year-old, his career hasn’t gone as well as it seemed it would.

The former Bristol City man burst onto the scene during the 2014/15 campaign under Alan Pardew’s guidance, scoring an impressive goal in a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, while also starring in a 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace.

It would be nice to see the Kingston-born player get himself back on track down in the Championship.

Let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about The Daily Mail’s report…
