Pre-season is underway for Newcastle United.
While a number of Newcastle players have been and continue to be on international duty, Eddie Howe is back at the training ground to prepare for the new season ahead.
Indeed, the club have already made three signings this summer, while a raft of players have left.
There have been changes off the field too, with Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi leaving St James’ Park.
The transfer window, of course, is still in its infancy too so Newcastle will no doubt continue to be linked with all manner of players across the footballing world.
Still, at least some focus now turns to getting the players ready for the new campaign ahead.
Despite some reports to the contrary, Jamal Lewis is even being involved.

Jamal Lewis returning to first-team training with Newcastle
There had been suggestions that the £15m left-back could be forced to train with the club’s under-21 team, with Newcastle keen to move him on.
The 26-year-old, however, was pictured in first-team training – according to The Chronicle.
They do add, however, that Watford have so far refused their option to sign Lewis on a permanent basis following his loan stint there last season.
Jamal Lewis has no future at Newcastle
It’s incredibly difficult to imagine Lewis having any kind of future at Newcastle.
Dan Burn remains a key figure under Howe, while Lewis Hall has now been signed on a permanent basis.
Tino Livramento can operate at left-back if needs be, while Matt Targett is another option, even if his future remains unclear too.
It is a shame Newcastle have never seen the best of Lewis and Howe does have previous in yielding vast improvements out of players on the coaching pitch but even that looks unlikely now.
Hopefully, Lewis can find a move as quickly as possible…
