Tottenham have a fantastic squad, and their options have got even better ahead of Newcastle’s trip to the capital.

While the Magpies have received a boost with Joelinton and Allan Saint-Maximin fit for Sunday, Tottenham’s returning players are certainly more menacing.

After a red card at the back end of last season, Son Heung-min is back from suspension. The South Korean was wonderful last season, proving that Spurs don’t have to rely on Harry Kane for goals.

When Newcastle travelled to Wembley in February, Son scored the only goal of the game after an error from Martin Dubravka.

And Son isn’t the only superstar that Spurs have back in contention. According to the club’s official website, Dele Alli is back in training after a hamstring injury.

The England international is another player who scored against Newcastle last season, finding the net on the opening day at St James’ Park.

However, it’s not all good news for Mauricio Pochettino. Record signing Tanguy Ndombele is set to miss out due to a thigh injury, meaning Newcastle will almost certainly come up against their former player Moussa Sissoko this weekend.

The Frenchman struggled initially at Tottenham, but is now a fan favourite. In contrast, he’ll likely be booed by every member of the travelling Toon Army.
