Newcastle will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce against Burnley on Monday night.

The Magpies beat Watford and Bournemouth before the international break interrupted their good form. It was a tough international break for Newcastle, who lost Paul Dummett to injury.

So with the left-back ruled out, Rafa Benitez will have to make at least one change to the side that beat the Cherries.

Recall for Manquillo against Burnley

Newcastle have limited options at left-back, meaning Javier Manquillo will likely come back into the side. The Spaniard has hardly impressed in black and white, but is probably the best option.

Benitez could put Kenedy at left-back, but that move didn’t work well against Leicester earlier in the season.

Jamaal Lascelles missed the last game, but has trained ahead of Monday night’s game. Fabian Schar has done well in his place, but surely the captain will return if passed fit.

Ki must keep his place

Jonjo Shelvey has also trained, but that doesn’t mean he should walk back into the starting XI.

Ever since Ki Sung-yueng replaced him against Watford, Newcastle’s performances have improved. The South Korean has been key (pardon the pun) to our success, and deserves to keep his place alongside Mo Diame.

Matt Ritchie and Kenedy will be providing the width against Burnley.

Can Rondon kick on?

Salomon Rondon was the hero against Bournemouth, and hopefully he can keep up his good form at Turf Moor.

The forward was a nightmare for the Cherries defenders, but will face a much sterner battle against Sean Dyche’s men.

Predicted lineup to face Burnley: Dubravka; Yedlin, Lascelles, Fernandez, Manquillo; Ritchie, Diame, Ki, Kenedy; Perez, Rondon
